A while back (2006! I hadn’t realised it was that long ago.) I wrote about County Watch and their campaign to reinstate county road signs to their correct places and to add new signs informing people of the existence of the historic county boundaries in England. A similar thing seems to be gathering pace in Scotland, although it doesn’t seem to be promoted by any national body, but instead by local pressure groups interested in their own areas.
